Swami Satyanandaji was born on November 17, 1896. His parents named him Manmohan, a name of Lord Krishna that meant one who charms the mind. As a young boy, there was a chance meeting between him and Mukunda Lal Ghosh another boy in the neighborhood who later went on to become Paramahamsa Yoganandaji. The video shares the many accomplishments of the spiritual stalwart duo in the path of Kriya Yoga and in serving spiritual seekers. Swami Satyanandaji's other accomplishments and contributions to society included establishing the Sevayatan Satsanga Mission, befriending and nursing the famous realized Master Ramana Maharshi, and writing numerous biographies of the great Kriya Yoga teacher saints of the 19th and 20th centuries. Satyanandaji also initiated our beloved Gurudev Paramahamsa Hariharanandaji into the third Kriya. Satyanandaji lived a life of service and dedication till his Mahasamadhi in 1971, charming the minds and transforming many along the way, just as his parents had envisioned.
