The Ironbound is one of Newark’s most well-known neighborhoods. Its location made it attractive to immigrants working in nearby factories. Until recently, Ironbound was best known for its many Portuguese and Spanish restaurants. However, the Ironbound is more than just restaurants. The neighborhood is balancing the old with the new to make it a destination to live, work and play.
