The European nightcrawler worms are placed into a container filled with leaves, cardboard, paper coco coir bedding - plus some Brussels sprouts, carrot peels and cucumber pieces. Later they are fed banana, cantaloupe and strawberries their bedding is occasionally refreshed. Mites sneak in on some leaves and their numbers grow quickly over time.
