Morocco. North Africa. I had been looking forward to this trip for awhile, and I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. I tried to learn Arabic more than a decade ago back when I lived in Lebanon, but what little I remembered didn’t seem to help much here! Morocco was the land of the Berbers, and this would be a whole new adventure. • I decided to start my journey in the most Moroccan city of them all: Fez, a city famous for it’s huge classical medina market area. Of course, I’m not very good at being a conventional tourist, so I decided to wander off the market path in search of Mahia, a local Jewish Moroccan moonshine. And my strategy for avoiding hustlers…well, how often do they see a foreigner speaking to them in Darija, eh? Yalla! • -------- • Instagram: sabbatical.tommy • Patreon: www.patreon.com/sabbaticaltommy?fan_landing=true • #Sabbatical #Morocco #Africa
