Contruction workers hailed from North Karnataka and it is said that the gang of accused took money from the victims and had also snatched their cell phones. The rowdies are said to have attacked the victims when they refused to get alchohol for the accused. • While some of the accused have been identified as Ananth, Ambareesh and Prakash, victims have been identified as Honnarappa, Hanumesh and Devappa.
