Tashi delek everyone, • I have tried to explain the monlam of sang offering briefly for you. • It is offered mainly morning and evening during full moon day, 8th and 15th day and special religious days of every month. This is an offering made for the wellbeing of all sentient beings. • To begin with, first we must clean up our thoughts then offer tea and milk in the deity room, then the sang. • The prayer starts with a short dedication prayer to the Buddha. • Followed by the Sang choe, we start with inviting all the deities, gods and goddess and offering them everything one is surrounded with, the beautiful flowers, hills, cool breeze, beautiful birds and beasts, etc. • We pray that may the blessing of this offering be recieved by every living being in the entire universe. • May there be no hindrance in the path of practice for all the practicioners of buddhahood. • From the buddha till the beings in the hell, from the deities till the dead ones living in the rocks, the forest, the mountains, the waterfall, the pastures, the caves, the narrow stream, the three ways, the corners or anywhere on earth. • Further I am inviting and offering this food. • And also asking for forgiveness if any error or mistakes I do while making this offering. • Praying for the betterment of every sentient being, praying for world peace, no dispute, no situation of famine and praying for the family. • Praying for the acceptance of the offering despite many imperfections. • Praying for help, for saftey, for guidance from the deities, from committing wrong, asking forgiveness to the gods who I could not offer specifically. • Praying for the long life, prosperity in health and wealth, success in every work we do. • Finally praying not only for all kind of success and happiness but may the nature of the Buddha be engraved in us all. • Thankyou. • • #buddhistprayer #tibetanchoe #smokeofferinginbuddhism
