In this talk, recorded at TEDxEustis in January 2019, freedom seeker Lea Tran shares the harrowing journey her family took to reach the United States and the further hurdles she faced to find her voice. • Lea is a graduate of Villanova University and began her career as an organic chemist at Wyeth and Merck Company Pharmaceuticals for seventeen years. She was co-inventor of several patents on anti-HIV drug discovery and development. • Prior to moving to Florida with her husband and son in 2015, Lea owned and operated Distinctive Designs for ten years, a high-end window drapery business. • Lea has learned early in life to always look for opportunities in the midst of adversity. She went beyond surviving the warn torn country in Vietnam to rebuild a prosperous life in America. • Her memoir I Did Not Miss the Boat is an important reminder of what makes America truly a great nation. A country that gives promise to everyone who is willing to fight for a second chance in life. • ***************************** • MORE ABOUT LEA: • https://www.leatran.com/ • Mother Son Family Roots Podcast: • https://anchor.fm/lea-tran/episodes/E... • To order an autographed copy of Lea's memoir I Did Not Miss the Boat go to www.LeaTran.com • Amazon Review page: https://amzn.to/3oj9AhL • Book trailer video https://bit.ly/3kvbSrX • To share your thriving story with Lea's FB community, check out • FB Live Thriving Conversation: / athrivingconversation . • • ** CONNECT WITH LEA ON SOCIAL MEDIA ** • YouTube: / leatranspeakerandcoach • Facebook: / leatranspeakerandcoach • LinkedIn: / leatranspeakerauthorandcoach • Instagram: / ididnotmisstheboat , • Join Lea's private FB Group to get free group coaching and inspiration. / dontmissyourboat
