This relatively easy summit can be achieved by doing 5 miles roundtrip with an elevation gain of almost 2,000 vertical. The Trailhead is at 8,500 feet and 10,457 feet above sea level. Roughly 100 Miles to the North, on a clear day, you can see mighty Mount Shasta. Aside from that, you are just about the highest thing around when you summit Lassen. It's a spectacular experience!
