Wraparound Maine is a statewide initiative that supports an integrated planning approach for youth with complex needs. Each Wraparound Maine site serves various agencies that care for children and youth, ages 5-18, with serious emotional or behavioral disturbance who are living in a facility with intensive supervision and services, a temporary residential treatment, a juvenile correctional facility or at they are at risk of being placed in one of these types of facilities. • The Process • Wraparound is an evidence-based process that relies on a balance of formal and informal supports to help children and families achieve important outcomes. The goal is help children remain in the home or community whenever possible. The planning of service is accomplished through wrapping individual services and natural supports around the child and family, based on their unique strengths and needs. • http://www.spurwink.org/
