The 2022 recording of my proper debut album, new heights! • So it's time to shed a bit of light on new heights, so I'm going to go through these 3 questions: What's the story behind it? Why does it sound so different? and Why am I only posting this now, if it's been lying around for two years? • 1. New Heights was my debut album, my first album to go on streaming services and the first album to get any sort of recognition by anyone out of my social circle. It's called new heights because i think it was a really ambitious and experimental step forwards into music, and a contrast from its predecessor album, MAGNET. • 2. It sounds so different due to technical problems to be honest, and I'll dive deeper into that. By mid 2022, I had really got into sound design and getting a bit more creative in my music, trying to lean less on loops and samples. I had this project planned that was going to be a self titled album released in September 2022, however, the device I was producing this all on decided to pack in after 3 years, due to a processor issue, and no data was recovered off of it. I decided to get a new iPad in October 2022 to produce it completely on mobile GarageBand, and over 40 tracks were produced, using new sound design and new-found techniques! • 3.
