Huge floodplains stretch as far as the eye can see, where the Western Interior Seaway meets the ancient contintet of Laramidia. Here some of the most spectacular animals to ever walk the earth gather: From the horned Triceratops in rut, to the winged Pteranodon scounting the flooded plains for fish. But fish isn't the only aquatic life encroaching on the land, the flooded plains open channels inland for the terrible sea monsters of the time! Where the waterways converge huge lakes are formed and it is here that we meet another extraordinary cretaceous dinosaur: The duckbilled Edmontosaurus. But crocodiles aren't the only danger around the lake, from Tyrannosaurs to even the weather itself, it wasn't easy living at these lagoons. The lake supports thick vegetation, eventually creating vast forests filled with Gingko and Ferns. During dusk a shy recluse of these forests emerges: The heavily armoured Ankylosaurus.
