June 2021, we explored the Red Squirrel Road that is 110 km north of North Bay on Hwy 11. This was not our first trip. The road is closed to vehicles around the 30 km mark but there are many side trails leading to lakes and possibly some great blueberry patches. • The lakes are good for fishing and the road passes the north arm of Net Lake, Thieving Bear Lake, Lundy Lake, Tyndall Lake and Red Squirrel Lake. This is not a complete list. Bring your canoe. • We had no luck with wildlife except the beaver, but then again, we didn't really try hard. • There was one dormant logging side road and we could pickup firewood with very little effort. • We spent the evening at the pond where the Red Squirrel road is closed. Amazing sights and sounds. The drive back in the dark was quiet, we had the RIGID DSS PRO off-road lights. • 0:00 Intro • 0:35 Entering Red Squirrel Road • 1:21 Crown Land Atlas navigation • 4:33 Entering abandoned logging road • 8:02 Stopping at lake and check Fish ONline Ontario • 10:00 Continue to end of Red Squirrel Road • 10:45 Drive home with RIGID DSS Pro off-road lights • Crown Land Use Policy Atlas @ https://www.ontario.ca/page/crown-lan... • Ontario Fish ON-Line @ https://www.ontario.ca/page/how-use-f... • Leave No Trace Canada @ https://leavenotrace.ca/ • Music Source: YouTube Audio Library • For Time To Disappear - Go By Ocean _ Ryan McCaffrey • Time Slips By - Go By Ocean _ Ryan McCaffrey • Last To Know - Go By Ocean _ Ryan McCaffrey • Point Being - Go By Ocean _ Ryan McCaffrey
