During a press briefing, journalist challenged US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller regarding the characterization of the UNSC Ceasefire Resolution as 'non-binding.' 'We didn't veto because we thought the language, as it relates to the cease-fire, and the release of hostages, was consistent with the long-standing United States position,' Miller added. According to the UN Charter, all Security Council resolutions are legally binding under international law.
