This is a flaked knife or a Stone Age Pocket Knife. I can personally tell you I have used a tool like this more times than I can remember and It can get most jobs done. It cuts any soft material like wood, hide, fibers, meat and roots. It can be worked into a form of a projectile if needed. It is lite in weight and does not require any serious knapping skills.
