For Thursday, I was originally planning on spending the day at Garfield to see how the peak hours would be like there. Unfortunately, this didn't work out. The wind was just as brutal as it was on Wednesday night, and without any heated shelter to hide in, I was forced to deal with the full brunt of it. This eventually ended up being too much for me to bear, so after only about 2 and a half hours, I gave up and retreated to the warmth of my hotel room. • However, I wasn't completely done for the day. After resting up and getting warm, I figured that I could make occasional brief trips outside to see select trains at Market Street and Midland Avenue. This allowed me to see Norfolk Southern H70 both heading west and coming back east in the early morning hours. • 1: Train 1159 arrives at Garfield with GP40PH-2B 4213 on the point, running 5 minutes late.
