Airbus developed the Beluga as a successor to the Super Guppy, initially for Airbus’ own manufacturing needs. Currently, Airbus uses four or five Beluga aircraft for transporting large assembled sections of the fuselage and wings of aircraft. The fifth Beluga serves as a back up for Airbus and is also offered to fulfil transport services in the market outside Airbus. In order to serve the additional market, Airbus Industry created the subsidiary airline company Airbus Transport International (ATI) in 1996. ATI is based at Toulouse in France next to the Airbus production facilities. There are no current plans to sell the Beluga aircraft and there are not yet plans for the production of a sixth Beluga. • The A300-600ST, derived from the A300-600R, entered service in January 1996. By 1998 when the fourth Beluga entered service, ATI had gained the experience and expertise in daily operation of outsize cargo transportation in an international environment for outsize load transport services to be offered to outside companies. The fifth Beluga entered service in the year 2000. • WINGSPAN 44.84m • LENGTH 56.15m • HEIGHT 17.24m • HEIGHT OF OPENED DOOR 16.78m • The aircraft is fitted with GE CF6-80C2A8 engines that provide a cruise speed of 0.7 Mach. The maximum operating altitude is 35,000ft (10,670m). • #howto #kidsvideos #kidsvideosforkidslearning #kidsofinstagram #youtubekids #youtubeshorts #kidsyoutube #youtubekidschannel #kidsvideos #doyouknow #howthingswork
