You can see the misuse and mayhem at 2:45 • • Highams Park Level Crossing, Greater London • Date Filmed: 12/4/24 • Located Between Highams Park and Wood Street Stations • Road: Larkshall Road, London • Rail Line: Chingford Branch Line • Featuring: @UKLevelCrossingsChannel • Timetable Used: Highams Park on Real Time Trains • • An extremely busy and loud crossing in London's outskirts, also being the one of two crossings in North East London. Highams Park is only used by London Overground trains here running between London Liverpool Street and Chingford. It also quite unfortunate that the signal box here has been closed and abandoned • This crossing is very busy and has a nice timetable for when trains are due. Not only do all trains stop at the station, but you get 8 trains per hour, all of which turn up after 5 or 10 minutes after the previous train. The road is on a busy road through the crossing, with 2 side roads on each side, so 2 extra Wigwags are provided here. This makes traffic very busy, combined with lots of pedestrians makes this crossing common to misuse • Sone commotion was seen in the second Lowering featured here. A BMW jumped the red lights and seemed to cut off a Fed Ex van. This was why so many horns ended up being beeped.
