Factorio is an amazing, complex, crafting, building, automation game that I have been playing a ton of as my factory sprawls its spaghetti larger and larger across the map :) I came into Factorio knowing nothing about it and have been so pleased at how friendly the community has been around the game as many players have given me advice on how to improve. In this Complete Beginner's Guide to Factorio, I start a brand new factory so you can play along with me as I explain the very basics of the game, drawing on my own experience and the great advice I have received. This guide is non-spoilery, and does not focus on the best or fastest builds, perfection, or optimization, but rather lays out the fundaments of the UI, the controls, some tips and tricks, and the overall strategy of the game so you can best enjoy it on your own terms. I don't prescribe a singular method, but rather expose the tools and shortcuts in the game so you can make whatever you want in this fantastic sandbox :) • *2024 Update: This guide continues due to viewer interest but has changed into a Learning Guide as I am still covering ground I have played before, but am less familiar with than the basics.
