The valgus stress test is used to evaluate the integrity of the medial collateral ligament (MCL). The patient is supine. Passively flex the knee to about 30 degrees and apply a valgus force. Bring the knee back into full extension and apply the valgus force again. Laxity at 30 degrees suggests an isolated MCL injury, laxity at 0 degrees suggests a multiligament knee injury. A positive test is pain or laxity. • Valgus Stress Test • https://wikism.org/Valgus_Stress_Test... • SportsMedReview: Knee Pain • https://www.sportsmedreview.com/by-jo... • Wiki Sports Medicine: Knee Pain • https://wikism.org/Knee_Pain_Main
