Today I decided to sing Say Something as a tribute to George Floyd... as a person of color myself, I really want to speak up about this issue because racism is happening all over the world including my country and I am so heartbroken, enraged and disgusted. Since I’m asian, I am fortunate enough of not having to fear for my life because of the color of my skin, but I will always stand with you and fight with you. George Floyd’s death has really opened my eyes and made me realize that racism is TAUGHT, and NO ONE is born racist. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and respectfully no matter what their skin color, race, ethnicity, religion, or gender is. I truly hope that this will all come to an end because nobody in this world deserves this. I’m sending my love and prayers to all the black communities out there.
