Welcome to God of War - Ragnarök. • Kratos and his son Atreus's attempt to prevent Ragnarök, a cataclysmic war in Norse mythology that threatens to destroy the nine realms. • Kratos and Atreus must travel to each of the nine realms to face enemies like Norse gods and wild beasts. Kratos must decide whether to be held back by fear of repeating his mistakes or break free of his past. Atreus seeks knowledge to understand the prophecy of “Loki” and his role in Ragnarök • At the core of the story is the relationship between Kratos and Atreus, a father and son. Kratos must decide if he will be the father Atreus needs. Freya has been pursuing Kratos and Atreus since the end of the first game, seeking Kratos' death. Kratos refuses to kill her, despite being attacked. A mural that Kratos glimpsed in the previous game plays a key role in Ragnarok.
