It won't give you the much desired six pack look ,but it is the prime muscle of your core and acts as a natural lifting belt, keeping our internal organs protected, and giving support to the pelvic and lumbar region. Perhaps even more importantly, the transverse abdominis is, or should be recruited every time we move our limbs.
