The report was released May 14, 2014, in Washington at an event featuring World Bank President Jim Kim, Hillary Clinton and UN Women Executive Director Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka. The report finds that poverty, lack of education and unfair laws drive constraints to women's full participation in society, violence against women and gaps in property ownership and access to information.
