Cabin Wood Stove Cold Start

This 3100 Millennium Wood Stove by Quadra-Fire was installed in the summer of 2016. Stove, hearth pad, chimney, materials, and install, was about $4000 and fitted by a local business. This stove was chose over the Quadra-Fire 2100 Millennium because of its additional firebox capacity (1.5 cu ft v. 2.0 cu ft) and ability to heat approximately 2600 square feet. The cabin is approximately 900 square feet and this stove does an excellent job of heating the only partially insulated structure. • This video was taken on Thursday March 24, 2016, shortly after the commute and supply unload. The outside temperature was around 30-35 degrees fahrenheit. Inside the lodge it was easily 70.
