The shaped base and carved paw feet are beautiful. • The brass movement keeps excellent time for a week on a winding, playing the familiar Westminster chime melody on each quarter hour and counting the hour as well. The spring movement is wound by key. • The brass and pewter dial is inscribed, Tempus Fugit, or Time Flies in Latin. On the back is the stamp of the seller, Maurice Carion, Mechelen, Belgium.
