Dealing With SPD Pain in Pregnancy

Today we are talking about SPD and what I have found to be helpful in dealing with the pain this pregnancy. • SPD stands for symphysis pubis dysfunction which is a condition that causes your symphysis pubis – a joint right in between your pelvic bones – to separate too far apart and potentially become misaligned. This can cause severe pain with walking, going up stairs, rolling over in bed etc. as well as sometime a clicking or grinding in the front of the pelvis. • I wanted to talk about my experience with SPD because it has definitely affected every part of my life and when I first experienced it in my last pregnancy I felt very depressed and had a difficult finding other women's experiences. I have also been able to find many things this pregnancy that have made the pain more manageable. • Probably one of the hardest things for me has been having to put ballet aside. I have pushed through to keep teaching but am stopping now until after the birth. I hope to be back in the ballet studio soon! • I'd love to hear if you've ever had any experiences with SPD and if you have any tips, please comment below! • Here is the maternity support belt that I use: https://amzn.to/2Ix6MZ7 • My maternity pillow has also been a life saver at night! → https://amzn.to/2LcydJx • Subscribe To My Channel For All Things Ballet and Health ↓ • / @thewholepointe • Hop on over to my website at • www.thewholepointe.com • Connect with me on Instagram • / thewholepointe • *Not Sponsered – all opinions are my own - Contains affliate links – thanks for your support!
