Exclusive Sneak Peek: First Look at the Prospectors Dream Khrysos Vortex Sluice Prototype • Here’s a sneak peek at the very first prototype of the Prospectors Dream Khrysos Vortex Sluice—a revolutionary gold sluice box designed to make prospecting more efficient and accessible. This innovative sluice was developed for my wife’s wonderful company and inspired by my uncle, a disabled vet and my prospecting partner. After years of struggling with subpar equipment, I decided to improve it and create something better—leading to the creation of this vortex sluice box. • This prototype features five cells and a unique slide gate mechanism, including a trap door to the plenum that drops material into the bucket. With about 40 gallons per minute flowing through the pump, we’re ready to show you the hydrocyclone sluice mat in action. • Watch as the Vortex technology creates a circular pattern, pushing heavier material to the bottom while lighter material spins out. This active cell design ensures that the sluice never overfills and effectively traps both gold and black sand, which is crucial for fine gold recovery. Unlike traditional sluices, this one keeps the gold concentrated in the top cells, reducing the need to constantly check for gold losses downstream. • As we run this prototype, you'll see how the Dream Mat works with natural materials from the stream bed, trapping gold efficiently in the first two cells. This setup demonstrates the potential of the Vortex sluice for both small-scale prospectors and larger, commercial operations. • While this is just the first prototype, with four cells planned for the next version, it’s already showing incredible promise.
