Big sets come in about half way through the video. Everybody got soaked at 5:09. Including myself. I tried my best to capture the moment....the news said life guards performed 300 rescues....One diver is missing. Blessings and condolences to his family. • The left at Ala Moana is known as Bowls one of the hollowest surf spots because it is a man-made wave created when the channel was dredged. It is famous for it's bowl : The wave goes super shallow and thick through it's main section. • The crowd scene in the water here is very friendly. It's almost always filled with the locals exchanging waves. Everyone likes to hang out in the parking lot after surfing, to BBQ' and share their story's. Created on August 31, 2011 by david bylsma
