This video shows how to make your oil-to-milk (self-emulsifying oil) cleanser. This product leaves your skin perfectly clean; it dissolves and removes make-up, dirt, and pollution from your skin without compromising its protective lipid layer. • To make a self-emulsifying oil, you will need a special ingredient - an emulsifier, that will help your oil to turn into a cleansing milk when mixed with water. This ingredient also helps wash away oils and dirt (because it binds oil and dissolved in it dirt and make-up to water). • I use an emulsifier Polyglyceryl-4-oleate (don't be scared by its chemical name - it is a plant-derived, biodegradable, and COSMOS-certified ingredient). You can find it and order it on the following websites: • In Europe: • https://shop.skinchakra.eu/Kosmetik-L... • In France: • https://www.mycosmetik.fr/emulsifiant... • In UK: • https://soapmakers-store.com/shop/bod... • In US: • https://makingcosmetics.com/EMF-PGOL-... • The recipe from the video: • 30 g of fractionated coconut oil (MCT oil of caprylic/capric triglycerides) • 20 g of sunflower oil • 20 g of calendula macerated oil (homemade) • 18,8 g of Jojoba oil • 10 g of Polyglyceryl-4-oleate • 1 g of grapefruit essential oil • 0,2 g of concentrated vitamin E (98%) • This cleanser is formulated for normal-to-oily skin. I've chosen lightweight fractionated coconut oil and Jojoba oil and added calendula macerated oil and grapefruit oil to fight the impurities. • But you can create your self-emulsifying oils with different ingredients; just follow the ratio: • 83.8 - 88.8% of vegetable oils • 10-15% of polyglyceryl-4-oleate • 1% of essential oils • 0,2% of vitamin E • You can choose different oils depending on your skin type: • Dry and sensitive skin - you can use Jojoba oil as a base and add some beneficial oils (sweet almond oil, evening primrose oil, roman camomile macerated oil). I would also recommend adding lavender or geranium essential oil instead of grapefruit oil. • Acne-prone skin - grapeseed oil, hemp seed oil, sea buckthorn oil, evening primrose oil. Opt for tea tree essential oil instead of grapefruit oil. • Mature skin - Jojoba oil will work for your skin very well, and you could add Argan oil, Rosehip oil, or evening primrose oil. I like to add to my cleanser rose+jojoba macerated oil; it smells fantastic and takes good care of my mature skin:) • _______________________________________ • About me: • I am Olga Larnaudie, a certified cosmetic chemist and natural skincare formulator.
