In this video I show how to setup a Receive-Only APRS (Automatic Packet Reporting System) iGate with a Baofeng and an Android device. An APRS iGate (Internet Gateway) is a program that listens for APRS packets on a radio and relays them to the APRS-IS network on the internet. APRS iGates are one of two fundamental parts of the APRS network that enable communications beyond simple peer-to-peer transmissions.
