Here's what mainly happened this year in both men and women's. • Though the year was the lowest season for the men's, Mutaz Essa Barshim reigned supreme with a world-leading 2.40 and the world title in London, also remaining unbeaten all season. • In the women's, the same dominance was shown by Russia's ANA Mariya Lasitskene (née Kuchina) who also remained unbeaten the whole season, winning both the world title and the Diamond League Trophy, as Barshim. • I also dedicate this video to olympic and 4x european champion Ruth Beitia who just retired some days ago. The retirement motivated me to do the video sooner. It needed to pay tribute to the best Spanish athlete of all time. Beitia won 15 international medals! • 6 european indoors, 3 european outdoors, 4 world indoors, 1 world outdoors and 1 olympic medal. • I DO NOT OWN ANY CONTENT OF THE VIDEOS.
