These delicious and easy to make cookies won’t last long when you bake them. Everyone loves their buttery taste and the jam sweetness. Kids especially love them! Great cookies to make for a holiday like Valentine's Day. • Please take a look at our other video: • Homemade Strawberry Jam    • Homemade Strawberry Jam   • Thumbprint Cookies • (Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies) • Ingredients • 1 cup butter at room temperature (salted) • 1 cup sugar • 1 large egg • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract • 2½ cups all-purpose flour • ½ teaspoon baking powder • 1 cup jam ( strawberry, apricot, raspberry, blueberry, pineapple or jam of your choice) • Directions • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees • Beat the butter, sugar and baking powder together on medium speed of mixer for 3-4 minutes until fluffy. • Add egg, and scrape down the sides of the bowl to make sure well blended. • Add the vanilla and mix until well blended. • At the lowest speed of the mixer, slowly add the flour until combined. • Flour your hands and roll the dough into 1 inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Make an indentation on each ball with your thumb or use a melon baller. Be sure each cookie is at least 2 inches apart. • Fill each indentation with jam of your choice. • Bake 12-15 minutes until set but not too browned. • Cool on a wire rack.
