Welcome to Unevolved Gaming, today we're going to take a closer look at the Pachyrhinosaurus • The Pachyrhinosaurus is a medium-sized herbivore that is a close relative of the Trike. In comparison to the Trike, the Pachyrhinosaurus is smaller in size and does not have a horn. It has spikes but none that are as impressive or as fearsome as the spikes of a Trike. The Pachyrhinosaurus is a non-aggressive herbivore that spends its time grazing, ignoring survivors and other creatures until provoked. Many players tend to underestimate this creatures unique capabilities. • It can be found almost everywhere on the island with the exception of the mountains, cold regions, carno island and herbivore island. • When killed a Pachyrhinosaurus can be harvested for meat, hide and keratin. • The Pachyrhinosaurus has a hardened head like the Trike which decreases the amount of damage it receives. Players should shoot it in the body to knock the Pachyrhinosaurus out faster. you can use tranquilizer arrows, darts or shocking tranquilizer darts. • A Pachyrhinosaurus can be picked up by a Quetzal and dropped in a taming pen on a location of choice. The Pachyrhinosaurus can also be stopped in it's tracks by a large bear trap or a chain bola. Keep in mind that a pachyrhinosaurus will break free from a large bear trap fairly easy. • Peaceful players can also lure a Pachyrhinosaurus in to a pen with Giant bee honey. • The Pachyrhinosaurus is a relatively fast tame, however survivors will have to come prepared with enough narcoberries, narcotics or bio toxin because of it's fast torpor drop. • A Pachyrhinosaurus can be tamed with berries and Vegetables however it's preferred food is Bug Repellent. There is currently no kibble available to tame a Pachirhinosaurus. • A saddle can be crafted to ride the Pachyrhinosaurus when a survivor reaches level 27 • The Pachyrhinosaurus is mostly used by starting players as a pack animal, It can collect berries thatch and a little amount of wood similar to the trike. • The main advantage a Pachyrhinosaurus has over a Trike in this role is that it's saddle can carry 2 survivors which makes it a useful transport for small tribes. • When in battle the Pachyrhinosaurus's head acts as a shield and has a small damage multiplier similar to the Pachy. • The Pachyrhinosaurus possesses a unique survival skill. By pressing the left trigger on your controller it can release a chemical into the air that calms other nearby creatures, making them less likely to attack it. Survivors and large Predators like a T-rex and a Giganotosaurus seem to be immune to the calming effect. • The Pachyrhinosaurus can also release a chemical pheromone by pressing the right joystick on your controller. This Pheromone will attract surrounding wildlife, including normally passive animals like Dodo's or Parasaurs. however some herbivores like the Carbonemys and the Trike seem to be immune to this pheromone • Keep in mind that using one of these attacks will use a lot of stamina. • Most fishing spots on the island are either build upon or closed of by other survivors this is where the Pachyrhinosaurus can be of great use. • The pheromones that attract surrounding wildlife can also be used to attract fish into a closed off location or even a boat. • A large amount of fish trapped will lower the time spent fishing which results in more loot. • THE FISHING BOAT USED IN THIS VIDEO CAN NO LONGER BE BUILD AFTER XBOX PATCH V756 !!!!!!! • In my opinion The Pachyrhinosaurus can be of great value for starting and more experienced players, It's chemical and pheromone attacks are greatly underestimated by many survivors.
