I think it's the biggest problem that's rarely addressed when it comes to property site work and landscaping on hillsides and it soil erosion. There's almost no way around it and if you have a path located on a hillside that isn't built with a retaining wall, concrete and some type of a drainage system along with excellent ground cover, you're probably going to end up removing the soil from the path regularly.
