Here I'm practicing making a feather flourish based off of one of Master Penman Michael Sull's pieces with a few of my own touches. • How quickly can you learn how to feather flourish? Well, what you see in this video is my 30th copy, which shows you can learn rapidly if you are willing to do it over and over. I could not make a feather flourish before doing this. You will need to have mastered whole arm movement. • The key to feather flourishes is building up a set of simple shapes repetitively to make a beautiful pattern which looks like a feather. • But, making a beautiful pattern with your repeated shapes is the hard part, and this is where you should copy a master's work, either the old masters throughout history which you can study on iampeth.com or the modern Master Penmen whose names, youtube channels, and works you can search for. • Currently this is the only feather flourish I know, but as I (and hopefully you) study different kinds of flourishes the more patterns we will have in our minds to pull from to be able to mix and create different patterns and create our own unique works of art. • If you'd like to know the materials I used, I was using a Nikko G nib and a rosewood oblique holder with Daniel Smith walnut ink from Paper and Ink Arts and cheap cardstock paper. • Rosewood Oblique Holder at Paper and Ink Arts: • http://www.paperinkarts.com/hourgl.html • Nikko G Nib at Paper and Ink Arts: • http://www.paperinkarts.com/nikkog.html • Daniel Smith Walnut Ink at Paper and Ink Arts: • http://www.paperinkarts.com/danwal.html • Subscribe: •    / @josephrapier354
