In this video we teach you how to install a dimmer switch. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker for the light switch that you will be removing and replacing with a dimmer switch. • 2. Confirm the power is off at the circuit breaker. You can check that the power is off at the light switch by trying to turn on the switch at the switch you are going to replace. It's a good idea to confirm the power is off at the switch by using a non contact voltage meter or a multimeter to confirm the power is off. It's important to make sure the power is off before starting on the work to install your dimmer switch. • 3. Once it's been confirmed the power is off you can remove the light switch cover plate. Remove the cover plate. • 4. Unscrew the existing light switch from the junction box. • 5. When the screws have been loosened remove the existing light switch from the junction box and take a picture of the existing wiring. • 6. Then you can remove the existing wiring from existing light switch. • 7. Wire up the new dimmer switch with existing wiring. • 8. Install the dimmer switch by screwing it in to the junction box. • 9.
