Lance L. Miles was convicted of drug trafficking for having illegal drugs (oxycodone) in his possession. He appealed his conviction because he believed that the court made errors in instructing the jury and that his statements to law enforcement were obtained illegally. The most relevant facts to the court's analysis were whether or not Miles needed to know that the drugs were specifically oxycodone and whether or not his statements were admissible as evidence. • State v.
