Mourners pay last respects to Shadrack Ngema

Hundreds of mourners have paid their last respects to popular former sports presenter and actor Shadrack Ngema. Ngema's funeral service was held in central Durban on Saturday. Ngema who died of a heart attack last week came into prominence with his role as Magubane in the SABC comedy sitcom Emzini Wezinsizwa. • Among the mourners were politicians and well-known actors. Ngema also did professional boxing. His family say he was a loving husband and father. Colleagues say he was a joy to work with. • Government also sent condolences to the family. Ngema has featured in other TV productions such as Shaka Zulu and Scandal. • He retired from the SABC in 2013.
