#poorandcurious #iquitostoleticia #slowboatperutocolombia • One of the best local experiences you can get in Peru/Colombia. We spent 2 nights and 1 day on a local slow boat from Iquitos to Leticia. We left Iquitos, Peru, late at night on a cargo boat on the amazon river, and it was absolutely fantastic. • What do you need to know before you decide on this trip on a slow boat from Peru to Colombia: • you have to fly to Iquitos because there is no road to access this city - boats leave every day from Monday to Saturday at 6pm, sometimes 8pm - on Sunday! • you need to buy your own hammock - the price can vary by seller.
