A Russian exile who knew Sergei Skripal has claimed the former spy was working, and not retired, and remained in contact with military intelligence officers at the Russian Embassy. Mr Skripal, 66, and his daughter Yulia, 33, remain critically ill after they were deliberately poisoned in Salisbury town centre on Sunday, police said.
