STEELHEAD VS ADS Outdoors Fishing Cowlitz River

We were expecting there to be a fresh run of fish due to the increased water flows for our steelhead fishing trip. Aaron ‪@adsoutdoors‬ hooked this fish and it was immediately jumping and taking off down river so fast. After 5 minutes or so and lost that one, he came back to the spot within a few casts later hooked another one. Same result. Steelhead - 2 Aaron - 0. Love the fight of a steelhead. Hopefully next time we will land them. Cowlitz River at Blue Creek launch is seeing lot more traffic with lots and lots of boats working the river. Bank fishermen have started having some success. This fish was first of two Aaron hooked today. Both were good size fish and lost after some excitement. We still had a good day with some action, nice weather overall, and hope it continues to give us opportunities in the coming weeks. Lot of nice people fishing the river sharing knowledge and experiences always makes it a enjoyable time. I made several new friends today and it was awesome.
