CAST ON AT THE END OF THE ROW • To add stitches to a knitted item follow the instructions below. • This is similar to the knitted cast on. For a stretchy edge insert right hand knitting needle into the stitch as the pattern instructs, wrap yarn around the knitting needle, and pull the loop through. Place the newly formed loop onto the left hand knitting needle. Repeat with the next stitches until you have the quantity required. • This is similar to the cable cast on. For a non-stretchy edge insert the knitting needle between the two stitches on the left hand knitting needle wrap the yarn around, pull the loop forward, and place on the left hand knitting needle.
