Lee Scott • 'Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the Lord Almighty. This is one of my all-time favorite Bible verses. It's from Zechariah 4:6 in the Old Testament, tucked into a vision of the prophet Zechariah, in which God promises to help Zerubbabel (one of the good guys) take on the seemingly impossible task of rebuilding the temple (the spiritual home of God's people which had been destroyed by the Babylonians). Life is full of seemingly impossible tasks for us as individuals, and as the body of Christ. We are blessed that we do not have to accomplish everything relying on our strength, We are filled with and fueled by the Holy Spirit, who helps us to accomplish God's will.
