She was stimulated by the combination of singing, music, rubbing her arms, holding the vibrating pillow and objects to grasp. The changes in my voice's tone (and of course familiarity)was alerting. Note that at this point I asked questions to stimulate but she no longer comprehended what yes and no meant. My mom also enjoyed frequent arm and shoulder rubs and being spoken too at close range.
