Nuliajuk, nunavut isiniqsijuq, imarmiutait inaqqaqtirivuq. • Nuliajuk, looks upon our land, mother of sea creatures, protect us. • The Royal Canadian Mint unveiled a special $2 commemorative coin celebrating Inuit Nunangat, the Inuit homeland in Canada. This coin is unique because it was designed by four Inuit artists, each representing one of the four regions of Inuit Nunangat: Nunatsiavut, Nunavik, Nunavut, and the Inuvialuit Settlement Region. • The coin features Nuliajuk, the spirit of the sea, wearing a parka, along with symbols of northern wildlife like a walrus, beluga whales, a seal, and an Arctic char.
