Trimming Overgrown Sunshine Ligustrum

@PlantingLifeMatters • It’s time to trim down my overgrown Sunshine Ligustrum. I love the wild wispy tender branches and leaves. They are so soft and beautiful in the wind or a breeze. However, my three foot wide pathway is being overtaken by these giant Chartreuse beauties. If I had a larger landscape I would probably never trim them and let them grow naturally just to see how big they could get. Instead, I’m going to use my manual hedge shears this time to trim them. Back in the spring I used my electrical hedge trimmers and gave them a really tight compact formal look. Today I’m only interested in cleaning them up a little and clearing the pathway.
