Enbrighten Zigbee Dimmer Smart Switch Installation with Enbrighten AddOn Smart Switch Installation for a Double Pole / 3-Way setup where both switches control one circuit or in this case one light in my basement stairwell. A few additional notes: When testing for a live/hot circuit check both the line (black) and traveler (red or black) as well as the line (black) and the load (red or black). If you don't know which black wire is the line check black to black, and both blacks to red. If you are still confused check the neutral (white) against the two blacks, whichever black lights your instrument up is the line. If your working on a double pole / 3-way switch setup and you've already got all of the old switches out and the breaker is on and your instrument isn't showing any live circuits then check the other switch location/gang box. Whichever one has the load is also where your Primary Switch goes. This is important because your old double pole switches that you removed will both look identical, but the Smart Switches (or at least the Enbrighten ones) will have a Primary / Line Switch and an AddOn / Load Switch. If you get the two switches installed in the wrong locations things will not work correctly. So figure out which switch has the live line in from your Fuse/Breaker boxer. • For a few other quick notes: I use Alexa devices, SmartThings, and an AeoTech SmartHome Hub (wired). Which, so far is a pretty responsive setup with little to no lag. Something I find impressive given I have multiple sensors, indoor and outdoor cameras, and over two dozen smart switches all spread across 3 floors. • Here are the Zigbee Smart Switches I'm using: • https://byjasco.com/enbrighten-zigbee...
