Invitation... • In the world today, in my bones, in my mind, in my spirit, I sense the energy of a polar dynamic alive in the awakening consciousness of our human species. • Together we have embarked upon a journey of becoming a truly planetary melting pot of culture. This passage is not without essential and adaptive evolutionary demands. • My intuition urges strongly that there is an element of grace; that we must readmit, in a deep sense, the role of mystery, of something divine, of some providence that lies before, throughout, and beyond our very being. • I wonder though on the role of aspiration. I learned of the term “hubris” to mean not just arrogance but arrogance in the face of the gods. There seems to be something beautiful in standing tall and noble, a divine pride in realizing oneself as an expression of the Great Nature. What condition of prayer, surrender, action, or identity truly honors this? • I imagine that cultures, and peoples across the world and throughout time have met this quality of being in a wide variety of ways.
