Warm weather has billions of cicadas emerging right now. In parts of the country, they're all over these flowers. Although the insects are mostly harmless, they make loud singing noises as they search for a mate. #cicadas #shorts • People have been calling 911, mistaking Cicada sounds for sirens or car alarms. That noise level can get up to 100 decibels, the sound of a passing jet plane or the sound of a lawnmower. This is really loud because it is literally hundreds of thousands or millions of individuals singing at the exact same time. They're also keeping pet owners busy dogs and cats can swallow them. And if you have a dog that decides to eat one or, you know, any other type of species of a pet,, it should not hurt them. There are instances where a dog or cat might have an allergy to them similar to maybe a human with an allergy to bee stings, for example.
