Secret Gun Compartment Dresser

This pallet wood dresser has a secret gun compartment that is unlocked by pressing in one of the slats on the side of the dresser. The locking mechanism is shown at 10:15. If I was going to do this again, I would avoid the rebar (only thing I had at the moment) and use a smooth metal rod and bearings to make everything a little smoother. The spring loaded dowels were installed so the top doesn't need to be pulled up when it is being unlocked.
